The 13 Postures are the foundation of all styles of Tai Chi Chuan. Understanding them can help deepen your Tai Chi study, including “Tai Chi” philosophy and “Quan” (physical movement), as a WHOLE of “Yin” and “Yang”. This workshop also helps any tai chi form. Each essential part of the 13 provides the meaning behind basic tai chi movement allowing you to improve your tai chi skills much faster and more accurately.

Since the basic 13 postures are the foundation for tai chi forms and for wisdom for life, Hong has created this workshop since 10 years ago to explore the different layers and help practitioners to improve their Tai Chi skills more efficiently.
Who may attend:
Anyone who practices any Tai Chi form, wants to learn both Tai Chi skills and Tai Chi theory/philosophy behind forms and movements, and wants to understand the relationship between Tai Chi movements and Tai Chi balance/wisdom in life.
About the Instructor:
Hong Yang, PhD, MBA, Taichi Master
Hong is the founder of the Tai Chi Zen Institute. As a family internal Taiji inheritor, she has been studying Taiji since she was five years old. Hong is a world Taiji champion in Tai Chi hand forms, sword forms, and push hands. She has been integrating Taoism philosophy and Traditional Chinese Medicine studies into her personal Taiji practice and her teaching. She also serves as a Master Trainer for the international Tai Chi for Health Institute. Hong earned her doctorate in integrative traditional medicine at Nan Jing University of Chinese Medicine.
